Fresh Fish

We buy most of our fresh fish from the boats fishing locally in our unpolluted Atlantic waters, so quality fish is processed and on its way to the customer within a couple of days of being caught. When we are unable to buy very locally we still buy Scottish fish, ensuring that we purchase only the best quality.

We never buy cheaper, aged fish from huge refrigerated boats which land catches from Icelandic and other distant waters.

By providing you with top quality products and using tested, purpose-made packaging for mail order, it ensures that your fresh fish will be delivered in top condition. We send online purchases across the whole of the UK – and further afield when circumstances make this possible.

Haddock

Some people consider Haddock to be ‘ordinary’, but It’s Andy’s favourite fish – so delicious. We buy only best quality Haddock and only sell fresh Haddock as side fillets.

Monkfish

Monkfish was not a commercial species until quite recently. You now see it more frequently on restaurant menus and on cookery shows. Its other name is ‘ Angler Fish’. It has a ‘rod’ above the upper lip with ‘bait’ which attracts small fish as it lies in wait. Sharp teeth line the edge of the mouth and tongue. This is not a handsome fish, but the tail is delicious. There are no bones except for the smooth backbone, making it very meaty and easy to cook.

Salmon

We source all our salmon from the Award Winning Wester Ross Salmon Company. The fish is RSPB Assured and excellent.

Fillets & Whole Fish

Whilst fillets are easy and convenient to cook, you might also like to try some of our delicious whole, fresh fish. Cooking ‘on the bone’ can add to the flavour also making it easier when cooking on a barbecue or grill.
